Questions & Answers
About the Site.Q: Does the site follow any one religion?
A: No. Angels are in a few different religions, so I figured the site was more open to whatever the characters believed. The angels and Forsaken don't answer to anyone but themselves if they choose to, yet different characters may act according to their own beliefs and religions should they ever find out about them (or themselves). There is no one god or goddess. Q: If a person died from instances that they couldn't come back from and become an angel or Forsaken (ex: fire, removal of the heart or head) what would happen to them?
A: I personally thought about this for awhile. I think, in most instances depending on how they died, many would linger on as what we call ghosts or spirits because they couldn't pass onto another life from their body being so damaged. About Lewood.Q: Is Lewood the only celestial city? Where do the other cities cover?
A: No. Around the world there are other celestial cities mostly around very popular areas. The list is: Aelfeld (North Africa), Benisetr (west Europe/Middle East), Cahill (South Africa), Doriene (east South America), Fystone (east North America), Hethory (Greenland/North Arctic region), Karinone (west South America), Lewood (west North America), Peford (east Europe), Okstead (Antarctic settlements), Segate (Australia), Tegell (west Asia), and finally Wyheath (east Asia). Q: Why did the angels fall from Lewood?
A: Before the fall, the ring of seraphs (AKA the overall council of seraphs from all thirteen celestial cities) came to an agreement that angels as a whole weren't effective enough as guardians. They said, somehow, every angel had a flaw to them that either has or potentially could cause them to let their match become corrupted or die. That angels had slipped from the purpose of protecting humans by thinking themselves as too high above them and everyone else, arrogance becoming one of the biggest flaws in their society. With this revelation the council thought if they could send all the angels to Earth to remember what it is like to be human, then they'd be more successful at being guardians. The planned seemed fine until everyone left Lewood and lost their memories. ((Answer provided by the help of Tatt.)) Q: Is there a way back to Lewood?
A: There are two ways, undiscovered yet in RP, back to Lewood. One is perhaps the most unadvised: an angel dying in order to return. They will automatically be sent to the abandoned city with no recollection of their entire time as an angel. The other way ((with the advise from Tatt)) is for the hierarchy to be rebuilt and a new agreement signed by the guardians. Q: Could other angels from other celestial cities go to Lewood?
A: Of course. Lewood, named partially after Hollywood where its center is above, covered the west side of North America (and Mexico). Angels from all over could travel from celestial city to city by either personal desire or request of that city's seraph through the means of door portals. About the Angels & Forsaken.Q: What happens if an angel or fallen angel is seriously injured, to the point that they might die?
A: While they can bleed and bruise like anyone else, it'd be a little like setting a phone back to factory settings. They can be brought back to Lewood, or any closest celestial city, and wake up with no memory of their time as an angel to begin a clean slate and remember their life over time if they choose to. Q: Is there a way to ensure that angels or Forsaken are killed for good?
A: There are some injuries even they can't be healed from. Examples are: beheading, cutting out the heart, and setting on fire. Q: Like in the Dante Walker series by Victoria Scott is there any way for the angels and Forsaken to sense in each other?
A: Unlike in the Dante Walker series, neither the angels or Forsaken have cuffs around their ankles or any other type of trinket that could sense others for them. Instead, much like the angels' sense, they are all aware of each other in a single proximity like the size of a large room should they ever pass by one another. Q: Do the angels and fallen angels have any specific weapons they can use?
I thought about this for awhile, and in the end I decided that certain weapons might be beneficial to use on either side. Angels, specifically guardians, will only have one weapon that responds to them though. No one else can wield their chosen weapon unless they struggle with the weight it feigns. About Demons.Q: What are demons?
A: No one really knows for sure. They are theories that they were beings created from dark magic many years ago, and those that believe they are the children of Lilith or her equals in other religions of the world if they exist. Demons, though, are very tricky as they can take on different forms to disguise themselves should they be powerful enough. There are, at least, a few ways to differentiate demons from the animals or people they pretend to be. One such way is their eyes that can turn a bottomless black depending on a few triggers such as anger or grief. The second most known way is that when they are cut, they ooze a black goop-like substance rather than red blood. Q: Do demons exist on Earth?
A: However rare they are to find, demons do exist on Earth. Most hide in the natural forms of humans or animals, and come out if provoked or if they find a target they have set for themselves. Q: What powers do they have?
A: Not much is actually known about demons. All that's known about them, aside from being able to pull their own glamours much like the angels and Forsaken, is that they have the ability turn off the sense that let angels know when there's one near by. It makes them very hard to track unless they happen to be messy in their destruction. A few have been noted to control various elements with fire or electricity being the most common. Q: Can anyone become a demon? Could there be half-demons?
A: No. The only way to become a demon, now since no one can remember how they were originally created, is to be "born" from other demons or have one parent be human. These are then known simply as half-demons. They aren't known to possess any powers, though only a few have ever been found out about and disposed of in the history of dealing with demons as a whole. Human experiments involving demon blood (to by assumption become one) have shown up in the past more frequently than demons and half-demons combined. No one knows for sure if this can grant someone demonic powers considering most subjects get sick and pass away without proper treatment. |
About the Angels (continued).Q: How are angels created and are they like normal humans?
A: All angels aren't really "created" as much as they are simply brought back to life. Once a person dies, and if they were pure enough to become an angel should the council have chosen to bring them back to life, then they are trained to become a guardian until they ascend to a higher rank or fall and become Forsaken. All angels, no matter where they fall on the hierarchy, appear as they were before they died while on Earth. They still have a heartbeat and blood running through their veins, as well as other normally functioning organs to disguise the fact they are different say they ever go into a human hospital. In Lewood they possessed wings that they could once call upon during their time on Earth if they needed them. Q: Do the angels age or get old?
A: Not technically. Given the fact they are brought back to life, they do age in years but not necessarily in the sense that they grow old as people do. They appear around the age they died at unless they choose to look younger. This can be taken in a 'age vs appearance' way for those who died at an older age as well and didn't wish to look that way if they came down to Earth to interfere in the life of their human if they had to. Q: Are the matches between angels and humans traditional?
A: At first I was going to have it be the traditional matches of boy-girl like in a lot of books and films with any kind of guardian or match, but on this site I've decided that they can be boy-boy or girl-girl as well. Just to mix things up a bit. A human only has one match just as a guardian does, even if they can take care of multiple people. Q: What powers do angels have to protect their humans?
A: Any angel (or Forsaken) can glamour themselves (as briefly explained on the About The Angels page). Doing this they can choose to walk among the people invisible for as long as they choose to, or hide their wings from normal eyes. This, if the guardian was not in Lewood, was one of the most common ways to protect their human from any direct harm without being seen in the case they decided that was best for protection reasons. Q: What were "assignments"?
A: These were set aside requests for guardians that can be either directed at their human, if say their match was in mortal danger or being threatened to be killed, or other humans who are in trouble. A guardian is only given one match until their charge passes away, but are still responsible for looking out for all people and keeping them safe from themselves, others, or the Forsaken. Special missions could include (once) going down to Earth to persuade a human to do good deeds again if a Forsaken was tempting them. Q: What can the angels remember as of right now?
A: If they haven't found their match or uncovered their weapon? A majority of angels remember their personal life before becoming one. They may have nightmares or dreams of how they died, but they aren't exactly memories considering sometimes they can be distorted like any other nightmare. For those that haved lived for many years and merely appear a certain age after death, they don't remember a good portion of their life. In some instances they don't remember anything past the age they look. Q: How do the guardians find their match?
A: Seeing that the sense that once allowed guardians to know where their match was won't work until they've re-met, then the only way to actually find their match again is to search (if they didn't uncover their weapon that is and remember who they guarded from that). They won't really realize what for over time, but eventually they will slowly get the feeling that something is missing until they find their match. About the Forsaken (continued).Q: Do the Forsaken have any kind of base?
A: As of right now yes. Most of their operations are conducted in The Sinema club that they own. Off-limits to the public, and very touchy about those who enter the forbidden top floor, the loft of the warehouse are where most Forsaken escape to relax and plan future events against the angels or in general. Q: Where do most of the Forsaken stay?
A: While Forsaken can have apartments and homes like any normal person, a majority of them do prefer to room at the Sinema warehouse club where they can pay some smaller rent for working there. It depends on preference. Q: What do the Forsaken mostly do? What is their main goal?
A: Well aside from causing general mayhem in the human world by convincing others to sin, and above all be impure enough to become an angel when they pass on, the Forsaken's main goal most days is to get back at the angels. It's not enough to rub in the fact they have the ability to get humans on their side when strikes use to be operated against any group of angels on Earth or solo guardians were captured for information and torturing. A majority of Forsaken have personal issues with the angels for either taking their wings from them or never accepting them to begin with. Q: Are the Forsaken the "bad guys" on Earth in comparison to the angels?
A: Not necessarily. The angels may or might have thought so in their current case, yet not all Forsaken are bad. They have bad reputations, yes, and can find enjoyment participating in activities society (and angels) frowned upon, yet they're not evil. Not unless they choose to be. About Humans.Q: Do humans realize the angels are on Earth? Would they notice the increase of amnesia cases?
A: No. Humans don't realize any angels have fallen and most don't even know of their existence to begin with. There are stories in religions, yes, that the angels allow them to have, but they have never told humans the truth. Given how wide spread each celestial city is and all the countries they cover? Perhaps they would notice the amnesia, but it's unlikely if it's never reported within the first month. Q: Can humans and angels, hypothetically, ever have children? Do they have powers?
A: Yes. Called nephilim, children of angels and humans were never unheard of While they weren't exactly forbidden the rule still stood that humans were not allowed to know about the secret of angels. These children didn't have angelic wings as one of their parents did, but still retained that side's increased strength and better reflexes. They had no powers other than a slight advance in healing and prolonged life. |
